I Am a Bird

I am a bird

I build my nest

From what others

Have dropped.

I weave my home

From other people’s

Words and footsteps.

I look through their eyes.

I speak their tongues.

I feel with their skin.

I am a perfect conductor

And I can take it all

Without resistance.
