Sparrows

Sparrows




They said in the papers that sparrows are coming back.
They told us to leave breadcrumbs on our windowsill.
Some people don’t believe in sparrows.
They say those are just stories
told to children at bedtime.
I am not sure what I believe.
Someone is eating my bread.
That’s all I know.

      Thank you, Jenna. I love them too. In my city, we lost them somehow and we didn't have them for years. Efforts were made to bring them back and they seem to be working.
